Human Resources Manager In Heaven!

One day while walking down the street a highly successful Human Resources Manager was tragically hit by a bus and she died. Her soul arrived up in heaven where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself.

"Welcome to Heaven," said St. Peter. "Before you get settled in though, it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we've never once had a Human Resources Manager make it this far and we're not really sure what to do with you."

"No problem, just let me in," said the woman.

"Well, I'd like to, but I have higher orders. What we're going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose whichever one you want to spend an eternity in."

"Actually, I think I've made up my mind, I prefer to stay in Heaven", said the woman

"Sorry, we have rules..."

And with that St. Peter put the executive in an elevator and it went down-down-down to hell.

The doors opened and she found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was a country club and standing in front of her were all her friends - fellow executives that she had worked with and they were well dressed in evening gowns and cheering for her. They ran up and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times. They played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club where she enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner.

She met the Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kind
of cute) and she had a great time telling jokes and dancing. She was having such a good time that before she knew it, it was time to leave. Everybody shook her hand and waved goodbye as she got on the elevator.

The elevator went up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and found St. Peter waiting for her.

"Now it's time to spend a day in heaven," he said. So she spent the next 24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. She had great time and before she knew it her 24 hours were up and St. Peter came and got her.

"So, you've spent a day in hell and you've spent a day in heaven. Now you must choose your eternity,"

The woman paused for a second and then replied, "Well, I never thought I'd say this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell."

So St. Peter escorted her to the elevator and again she went down-down-down back to Hell.

When the doors of the elevator opened she found herself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. She saw her friends were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in sacks.

The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her.

"I don't understand," stammered the woman, "yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland of garbage and all my friends look miserable."

Dead Donkey

Children came in to breakfast and didn't say a word.
I started to the office I was feeling pretty low.
As I walked into my office my secretary, Janet, said,

And I felt a little better; someone had remembered.
I worked until noon. Then, Janet knocked on my door and said, "You know, it's such a beautiful day outside and it's your birthday, let's go to lunch, just you and me."
I said,! " That's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go." We went to lunch. We didn't go where we normally go; we went out to the country to a little private place. We had two martinis and enjoyed lunch tremendously.
On the way back to the office, she said, "You know, it's such a beautiful day. We don't need to go back to the office, do we?"
I said, "No, I guess not."
She said, "Let's go to my apartment." After arriving at her apartment she said, "Boss, if you don't mind, I think I'll go change."
"Sure," I excitedly replied. I start getting excited & i thought today is my lucky day.
She went into the bedroom and, in about six minutes, she came out carrying a big birthday cake,

The nuns stop and comment on how life-like he looks. The first nun suddenly reaches out and pulls his dick. Startled, he drops a bar of soap. "Oh look," says the 2nd nun..."a soap dispenser." The President was of course curious as to how she came by all this cash, so he asked her, "Ma am, I m surprised you re carrying so much cash around. Where did you get this money?" The old lady replied, "I make bets." The President then asked, "Bets? What kind of bets?" The Old Woman said, "Well, for example, I ll bet you $25,000 that your balls are square." "Ha!" laughed the President, "That s a stupid bet. You can never win that kind of bet!" The Old Lady challenged, "So, would you like to take my bet?" "Sure," said the President, "I ll bet $25,000 that my balls are not square!" The little old lady then said, "Okay, but since there is a lot of money involved, may I bring my lawyer with me tomorrow at 10am as a witness?" "Sure!" replied the confident president. That night, the President got very nervous about the bet and spent a long time in front of a mirror checking his balls, turning from side to side, again and again. He thoroughly checked them out until he was sure that there was absolutely no way his balls were square and that he would win the bet. The next morning, at precisely 10am, the Little Old Lady appeared with her lawyer at the president s office. She introduced the lawyer to the president and repeated the bet "$25,000 says the President s balls are square!" The President agreed with the bet again and the old lady asked him to drop his pants so they could all see. The President complied. The little Old Lady peered closely at his balls and then asked if she could feel them. "Well, Okay," said the President, "$25,000 is a lot of money, so I guess you should be absolutely sure." In Calgary, Alberta a 26-year-old mother stared down at her 6 year old son, who was dying of terminal leukemia.

Although her heart was filled with sadness,she also had a strong feeling of determination.
Like any parent, she wanted her son to grow up & fulfill all his dreams. Now that was no longer possible..
the leukemia would see to that. But she still wanted her son's dream to come true.

She took her son' s hand and asked,
'Billy, did you ever think about what you wanted to be once you grew up?
Did you ever dream and wish what you would do with your life?'

Mommy, 'I always wanted to be a fireman when I grew up.'

Mom smiled back and said, 'Let's see if we can make your wish come true.'

Later that day she went to her local fire
Department in Calgary , where she met
Fireman Bob, who had a heart as big as Alberta

She explained her son's final wish and

to give her 6 year-old son a ride around the block on a fire engine.

Three days later Fireman Bob picked up Billy, dressed him in his uniform and escorted him from his hospital bed to the waiting hook and ladder truck.

and help steer it back to the fire station.
He was in heaven.
There were three fire calls in Calgary that day and Billy got to go out on all three calls.

He rode in the different fire engines,
the Paramedic's' van, and even the fire chief's car.

Having his dream come true,
with all the love and attention that was lavished upon him, so deeply touched Billy, that he lived three months longer than any doctor thought possible.

One night all of his vital signs began to
drop dramatically and the head nurse, who believed in the hospice concept - that no one should die alone, began to call the family members to the hospital.

Then she remembered the day Billy had spent as a Fireman, so she called the Fire Chief and asked if it would be possible to send a fireman in uniform to the hospital to be with Billy as he made his transition.

The chief replied, 'We can do better than that. We'll be there in five minutes.. Will you please do me a favor?

When you hear the sirens screaming and see the lights flashing, will you announce over the PA system that there is not a fire?'

'It's the department coming to see one of its finest members one more time. And will you open the window to his room?'

About five minutes later a hook and ladder truck arrived at the hospital and extended its ladder up to Billy's third floor open window--------
16 fire-fighters climbed up the ladder into Billy's room

With his mother's permission, they hugged him and held him and told him how much they LOVED him.
With His dying breath,
Billy looked up at the fire chief and said,

You have a pretty good idea of what is going to happen in this illusion, but it is pretty cool, regardless. Stare at the center of the flag for at least 20 second - even longer to enhance the effect - and then look at the white area of your computer screen, a light colored wall, or a white peice of paper.

Now try this - try it again, but this time don't stare at the center. Move your eyes over to the right or left. Then, when you are looking at the after image of the flag, as your eyes try to focus on it, you'll see that they can't, and the flag will continue to slide around in your vision. As you may have guessed, this is because the image is burned into a certain place on your eye, and as you naturally will try to focus on the center and get it to stop moving, it will move around even more.

You've probably seen something similiar when you look at a bright light or even the sun.

This picture is another one we created specficially for the site, so it's yet another illusion that you won't find anywhere else. This uses a classic type of optical illusion, similar to the devil's pitchfork, or the impossible columns. What appears to be a stack of four books, is actually not what it seems at all. It's an impossible illusion, made from an impossible shape!

The Illuion book just blends into the background and sort of vanishes. In addition, if you look at the left side, it appears that there are really only two books Science and History. Yet if you read the spide of the books, you'll see that Biology, Science, Illusion, and History all appear. All in all, its quite the oddity, but most important, it's a fun eye trick! This bus was painted with an ad for the National Geographic Channel's "Built for the kill" television program. Here you can see that the artist used the doors to their advantage, so it looks like the shark opens it's mouth to gobble up the surfer dude.

Wouldn't it be fun to have one of these scary shark busses driving around your city! It would make a great party bus
too, I assume!

We've seen more and more busses which are "wrapped" with the special material that lets light through, so that passengers can see out through the window areas that look painted. It also adds a bit of privacy to the bus ride for chartered busses. Also, by having the advertising on the side of the bus, it's a smart business move that helps keep bus fares down by supplementing the income of the bus companies, which are often funded by the city, so it keeps your taxes down! Bottom line - go get eaten up by a shark if you have the chance!

Gus's owners say they plan to spend the prize money on cancer treatment

A three-legged, one-eyed, cancer-afflicted dog named Gus has been crowned the World's Ugliest Dog at a fair in California.

Gus, a Chinese Crested dog, beat allcomers to take the title at the Sonoma-Marin Fair.

Owner Jeanenne Teed, from Florida, said she would spend the $1,600 prize on treatment for Gus's skin cancer.

The competition has been running for 20 years, and is one of the fair's top attractions, organisers said.

Vicki DeArmon, marketing director of the fair, said that in the past few years, winners had been dogs that had been abandoned or neglected before being adopted by dog-lovers.

"They may look hard to love, but apparently they are not. I've never seen dogs better cared for," she added.Gus was rescued from a bad home.

One of his legs was amputated as a consequence of his skin tumour.

He lost an eye to a tomcat in a fight.
